Raps GbR is a subsidiary of P.H. Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard GmbH & Co. KG and is breeding winter- and spring-oilseedrape.

The international focus of our spring and winter oilseed rape breeding programme produces a multitude of high-performance line and hybrid varieties.  Specialising in breeding oilseed rape makes it possible to develop features and properties to suit specific soil characteristics, climates and processing options, which means that our varieties can satisfy all the requirements of farmers and growers.

The successful breeding of ‘00’ quality oilseed rape is based on state-of-the-art biotechnology.  This involves our breeding team propagating “new” varieties, which are sown in our 1,000 m² greenhouse first and then have to pass further performance tests in trial plots.  A variety will not be marketed until it is mature.  Our seed cleaning process, which uses the latest cleaning technology, and dressing in our computer-controlled dressing plant ensure optimum seed preparation, resulting in high yields from our varieties in the fields at harvest time.
